The system aims to minimise electrical hazards commonly faced by workers during manual operations, significantly reducing related risks. The primary objective is to develop a system capable of safely and accurately operating electrical panel switches remotely, ensuring the protection of workers and equipment. The system utilises an electromagnetic lock and clamp to secure the device to the panel board, along with a linear motor actuator controlled via remote control, with a maximum operating range of 20 meters. Additionally, the design incorporates an automatic safety mechanism, which halts the actuator's linear motion based on the current value set by a potentiometer, thereby preventing damage to the panel switches. Testing demonstrated the system's effectiveness, as it successfully transmitted signals up to 20 meters to activate the linear motor actuator. The actuator reliably pressed the switch button, and the current-based safety mechanism effectively stopped the actuator when the preset current limit was reached. The developed remote-control system significantly enhances the safety and efficiency of operating electrical panel boards, providing a reliable and user-friendly solution to mitigate workplace hazards.
Muhamad Rostan Zakaria, Mohd Anuar Mohd Ayub, Abdul Halim Mustaqim Copyright (c) 2026 International Journal of Synergy in Engineering and Technology https://ijset.tatiuc.edu.my/index.php/ijset/article/view/276 Wed, 01 Apr 2026 00:00:00 +0800 A Case Study of Pawah Practice in Terengganu https://ijset.tatiuc.edu.my/index.php/ijset/article/view/310
This study examines the Pawah system in Terengganu, emphasizing its history, present functions, and socio-economic significance. Through qualitative research, the study investigates the evolution of Pawah, a mutual aid and profit-sharing system supporting livestock farming, which emerged to assist underprivileged community members. Initially, Pawah allowed less affluent farmers to benefit from livestock breeding and shared profits, fostering economic inclusion. Despite lacking formal agreements and facing financial risks and modernization pressures, Pawah remains a fundamental rural agricultural practice. Findings show that the system enhances agrarian productivity, promotes fair income distribution, and strengthens social bonds. However, its sustainability is affected by income volatility, transparency issues, and modernization needs. Key respondents highlighted Pawah’s adaptability and community-driven nature, noting the importance of structured approaches to enhance system resilience. The study concludes that addressing these challenges, while preserving Pawah’s core values, is essential for its longevity and continued impact on rural communities in Terengganu.
Norzamziah Afzainizam, Muhammad Shahrul Ifwat Ishak, Hashim Ahmad Shiyuti, Syahrul Fahmy Copyright (c) 2026 International Journal of Synergy in Engineering and Technology https://ijset.tatiuc.edu.my/index.php/ijset/article/view/310 Wed, 01 Apr 2026 00:00:00 +0800 Real Time IoT-Driven Monitoring System on Wind Energy Harvesting for Support Motorcycle’s Battery Storage https://ijset.tatiuc.edu.my/index.php/ijset/article/view/306
Wind energy, which comes from the kinetic energy of moving air, can be turned into mechanical power or electrical energy. A wind turbine is an important part of any wind energy system, as it converts wind into mechanical power for various uses. Improvements in turbine design, generator technology, and power electronics have increased efficiency, including gearless turbine designs. Motorcycles produce a lot of kinetic energy while moving, but this energy is usually wasted. There is no current system to capture and store this energy for later use. This paper offers a solution by developing a mini DC generator turbine system for motorcycles, combined with real-time IoT monitoring for power usage and turbine speed. A DC motor is installed on the motorcycle to generate electrical energy from wind during motion. The energy is stored in a battery and used when needed and providing a sustainable power source. To make the system efficient and reliable, a real time IoT platform is used to monitor energy generation, battery storage, and system performance. This helps users manage energy use, perform maintenance and avoid system failure. By combining wind energy with IoT system, this project supports eco-friendly transportation and energy efficiency. Results show that when the wind turbine speed increases, the voltage also increases. The system can generate up to 12V when the turbine reaches 36 m/s. For every 1 m/s increase in speed, the voltage increases by 0.33V, with a ratio of 3 m/s : 1 V. The results confirm that wind speed is directly proportional to voltage, and the increase is consistent as speed changes.
Kharudin Ali, Mohd Zikri Zhafri Darobi, Afidatul Nadia Mok Hat, Zulkifli Abd Rahman, Damhuji Rifai, M Redhwan Abd Aziz, Wan Zulkarnain Othman, Ahmad Joraimee Mohamad, Zammeri Abd Rahman, Muhamad Syakir Mohd Zin, Johnny Koh Siaw Paw, Yaw Chong Tak, Ahmed N Abdalla Copyright (c) https://ijset.tatiuc.edu.my/index.php/ijset/article/view/306 Wed, 01 Apr 2026 00:00:00 +0800 An Online Booking System For Batu Buruk Driving Academy https://ijset.tatiuc.edu.my/index.php/ijset/article/view/314
The Online Booking System for Batu Buruk Driving Academy (BBDA) was developed to replace the existing manual-based booking procedures that relied heavily on paperwork, phone calls, and face-to-face communication, which were inefficient, time-consuming, and prone to errors such as double bookings and inaccurate scheduling. To address these issues, a web-based system was introduced to digitalize the booking process while enhancing accessibility and usability for both users and administrators. The system was designed and developed using PHP as the server-side scripting language, MySQL as the database management system, and supported by Adobe Dreamweaver, Visual Studio Code, and XAMPP for development and testing. The methodology applied was the Waterfall Model, a structured and sequential development approach that covered requirement analysis, design, implementation, testing, deployment, and maintenance. The system includes several modules such as user registration and login, booking management, instructor management, and pricing updates. Testing and user feedback confirmed that the system successfully achieved its objectives by improving efficiency, reducing paperwork, and providing a more user-friendly interface. Overall, the Online Booking System for BBDA demonstrates how a driving academy can leverage information systems to modernize its operations, improve customer satisfaction, and establish a foundation for future enhancements such as online payments and mobile integration.
Norsyahirah Syaihan, Syahrul Fahmy, Zainudin Othman Copyright (c) 2026 International Journal of Synergy in Engineering and Technology https://ijset.tatiuc.edu.my/index.php/ijset/article/view/314 Wed, 01 Apr 2026 00:00:00 +0800 Development of IoT Based Monitoring System for CNG Cylinder Safety https://ijset.tatiuc.edu.my/index.php/ijset/article/view/253
The Compressed Natural Gas (CNG) vehicles are becoming increasingly popular in Nigeria due to the sharp increase in the price of petrol and their environmental benefits. However, car owners who have recently converted their vehicles from petrol to CNG are increasingly concerned due to numerous reports of cylinder explosions across the nation. Traditional security methods often struggle to detect advanced and unknown attacks, such as zero-day exploits. Intrusion Detection Systems (IDS) are essential for monitoring network activity and identifying malicious behavior. However, conventional signature-based IDS are limited because they rely on predefined attack patterns and cannot effectively detect new or evolving threats. This paper presents the development of an Intelligent IDS Web App that integrates Artificial Intelligence (AI) techniques to improve detection accuracy and enhance network security monitoring. The system uses machine learning to analyze network traffic patterns and identify abnormal behavior that may indicate cyberattacks. The development process follows a structured methodology, covering system design, model training, and web-based deployment. A dashboard interface was implemented to visualize detection results, allowing users to monitor network activity in real time. The results show that the system can effectively analyze network traffic and detect potential intrusions through an interactive and user-friendly environment. The proposed intelligent IDS supports proactive threat detection and contributes to improving cybersecurity awareness in modern networked environments.
Wan Ainul Alyani Copyright (c) 2026 International Journal of Synergy in Engineering and Technology https://ijset.tatiuc.edu.my/index.php/ijset/article/view/311 Wed, 01 Apr 2026 00:00:00 +0800
